The Hertelend Thermal Spa and Sauna Park is located in picturesque Magyarhertelend, just 20 km from Pécs, and welcomes guests looking to unwind all year round. The spa has been continuously developed since 2007 and today offers relaxation for all ages as a modern facility.
The covered thermal bath has four indoor pools, including a paddling pool with a mini slide for the little ones. Four neck showers in the adventure pool, and water jets and a current in the lazy river pool provide refreshment. The adults’ sitting pool, with warmer water, welcomes guests over 14. An outdoor mosaic pool with a water temperature of 36°C can also be reached directly from the complex.
Pools and services
In the summer season (usually from late May), seven more outdoor pools open, giving visitors a total of 12 pools. In the outdoor area, a baby pool, a water castle and a children’s pool await the kids, while adults can swim or relax in the 25-metre swimming pool and the gradually deepening sitting pool with a pergola.
Sauna Park
The The Sauna Park has two sections: textile and textile-free. The textile section has an infrared cabin, an aroma sauna and a Finnish sauna, where the body must be covered with fabric. The textile-free section caters to experienced sauna lovers, with a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna, a steam cabin and a wood-fired sauna. Sauna rituals led by trained sauna masters, relaxation rooms, a Praid salt cave, bucket showers and a fresh-air courtyard ensure complete relaxation.
Composition and benefits of the thermal water
The 38°C and 68°C thermal water feeding the spa is a soft, fluoride-containing sodium hydrogen carbonate water, classified as natural mineral water. Its composition has a beneficial effect on rheumatic, joint, circulatory and nervous system conditions, and as a drinking cure it can also help treat gum disease.
